EDGE are currently accepting applications for the EDGE Coral Reefs training course to be held between the 7th and 28th of July in Indonesia.
The course is aimed at early career scientists from the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia who have a minimum of an undergraduate degree and a keen interest in marine conservation and research.
The course will teach essential skills needed for coral reef research, monitoring and management and includes a large practical component involving SCUBA diving and the opportunity to assist with research.
Travel and attendance at the course will be fully subsidized for the successful applicants and there is further opportunity for three students who successfully complete the training course to carry out funded conservation research (EDGE Fellowships) on the three priority EDGE coral species from the Coral Triangle region.
